Been playing the Star Empire and Blob combo all weekend and the synergy is nasty in the best way. McCready's deck ramps fast enough that my buddy barely got a base down before I flipped the whole table on him. Six decks in one box was the clincher for game night.

The raid boss mode is what sold me — taking on two friends at once with the Star Empire and Blob combo gets chaotic in the best way. McCready's deck ramps up fast, and the display of six means our whole table can draft different command decks.

Playing as Hive Admiral McCready against a friend's deck felt genuinely different from the base game, since you're mixing Star Empire and Blob ships in one hand. My only gripe is that the cards are a bit slick when new, but they shuffle smoother after a few plays.
