The Hero Realms base game is a four player fantasy-themed deckbuilding game from the creators of the award-winning Star Realms.  With the Hero Realms Collection, each player can choose their character - Cleric, Fighter, Ranger, Thief or Wizard.

This collection includes:

  • Hero Realms Base Game
  • 1 Cleric Character Pack
  • 1 Fighter Character Pack
  • 1 Ranger Character Pack
  • 1 Thief Character Pack
  • 1 Wizard Character Pack

Shared between all players is an 80-card Market Deck. The game begins with five cards from that deck revealed, creating the Market Row. As you play, you use gold to buy champion cards and action cards from the Market. These champions and actions can generate large amounts of gold, combat, or other powerful effects. You use combat to attack your opponent and their champions. When you reduce your opponent’s score (called health) to zero, you win!

The five character packs totally change how the base game plays — my partner's thief keeps swiping cards from the market before I can buy them. Deckbuilding with four people actually works here, no one's sitting around waiting for their turn.

Grabbed this for game night and we ended up playing four rounds straight. Having all five character packs in one box means everyone gets their own role instead of fighting over the same deck, which kept things fresh. The base game alone is worth it, but the bundle price sealed it for me.

Miles Z. ★★★★★

The character packs completely change how the game plays, and having all five means nobody fights over who gets to be the wizard. Deckbuilding with four players gets chaotic in the best way, and the fantasy theme lands better than the sci-fi version for my group.
